Nguyen Ngoc Trang - Consultant

The 18-Year Veteran Who Kept 20,000 Websites Alive (and Still Does) 

Nguyen Ngoc Trang is a consultant at Glinteco and, with 18 years in technology, the most experienced member of the team. He has worked as an engineer since 2008, well before finishing his degree.

For around ten years, Trang was a platform engineer at CloudAccess, a US cloud-hosting provider, now part of the international Miss Group, that hosts more than 20,000 websites for customers around the world. Before and alongside that, he was a senior PHP developer at Coc Coc, one of Vietnam's home-grown search engines and browsers, and at Extreme Vietnam. He is a Zend Certified PHP Engineer.

His core strengths are system architecture and product strategy, working mainly in PHP and Python. A decade inside a single high-traffic platform taught him what makes systems hold up over years rather than months, and that long view is what he brings to clients as a consultant. The question for him is not only how to build something, but whether it will still serve the business well down the road.

Trang holds a degree in Information Systems from the University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (2010).

Away from work, he keeps an aquarium and is an avid reader of Chinese martial arts and fantasy novels.
