Playing with Sora: A Fun Adventure

I recently tried Sora, a tool for making animated videos, and it was a blast! Though I only played around for 15 minutes before running out of credits, it was totally worth it.

The First Try

The first video I made showed kids playing in the mountains, running through crop fields. I imagined a peaceful village scene with children laughing and chasing each other. The animation looked pretty good, though still a bit unreal—but seeing the idea come to life was magical. Watching the generated video felt like watching a dream I had as a kid.

Creative Fun with My Kids

When my kids joined the fun, things got even better. They came up with wild story ideas—flying cats, talking trees, and magical adventures. While not all clips came out as expected, Sora still did way better than other tools we’ve tried. Seeing my kids’ faces light up when their stories turned into animations was priceless. It was like we were co-directors of our own mini-movies!

Unexpected Surprise

Feeling adventurous, I made a company-themed animation featuring our mascot. Halfway through, Sora accidentally created a twin for the mascot—we called them Sora and Bora! They quickly became stars in our team presentations, bringing humor and fun into otherwise serious meetings. That unexpected glitch turned into a beloved team inside joke.

Final Thoughts

Even with limited credits, Sora turned simple ideas into cool animations. It felt like having a mini animation studio at home. I hope fans create detailed guides for even better results in the future.

Have you ever played with a creative tool like Sora? I’d love to hear your fun stories!
