AISC 2025 Day 1: Insights on AI, Semiconductors, and Vietnam’s Emerging Role

Today marked my first day attending the AISC 2025 event (https://www.aisc.events/agenda-2025), and it was a genuinely engaging experience. I initially joined to explore startup ideas, gain insights into the AI and semiconductor industries, and listen to valuable talks from industry experts.

The event kicked off in a professional yet warm environment, accompanied by excellent food, which was a delightful bonus! Among the highlights, the keynotes by Christopher Nguyen and Daniel Weyl particularly resonated with me - I made sure to attend all keynote sessions.

The session that captured my attention the most was "Semiconductors for AI: A Road to Better AI Systems" presented by Long PhD. It was fascinating to see how AI intersects with semiconductor design and how Vietnam is playing a significant role in this innovative landscape.

Startups and Innovation

  • Several startups showcased their solutions, exhibiting inspiring youthful energy.

  • While many technologies presented were still emerging and early-stage, their enthusiasm, potential, and ambition were highly commendable.

Impact of AI Across Industries

  • A major highlight was the widespread influence of AI, notably in:

    • Chip design

    • Automotive industries

    • Robotics

    • Marine applications

  • The transformative power of AI across these sectors was genuinely impressive.

Networking and Event Atmosphere

  • The event fostered a warm, professional environment ideal for meaningful networking.

  • Excellent food enhanced the overall experience, making interactions even more enjoyable.

  • I managed to connect with several attendees and am particularly excited to meet:

    • Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng, PhD – Minister of Science & Technology, Vietnam Government

    • Anna Goldie, PhD – Research Scientist, Google DeepMind

Overall Reflections

  • Today's sessions reinforced my excitement about the AI and semiconductor industries.

  • Although my existing perspective remains mostly unchanged, the event deepened my curiosity about future opportunities.

  • I look forward to more structured discussions, improved time management, and deeper connections during the upcoming days.
