UX Expert & DesignOps Lead: Crafting eCommerce Interfaces That Convert

Quan Tran Hong Le, who goes by Ley, is the Design Lead at Glinteco. With 9 years in the field, Ley brings together two things that rarely sit in one person: hands-on product design and a teacher's eye for craft.

Before Glinteco, Ley spent three years as a Product Designer at Seal Commerce (GemCommerce), the company behind GemPages, a widely used Shopify page builder for merchants across Europe and the US. Earlier, as a Graphic and UI/UX Designer at Co-well Asia, the Vietnam arm of Japan's Co-well, Ley designed brand visuals and websites for Japanese and American clients, including work for Nutsales, Will&Way, Accessible Link, and Aeon Mall. Since 2023, Ley has also taught graphic design as a lecturer at the University of Industrial Fine Arts (UAD).

Ley's core strengths are UI and visual design, DesignOps, and brand identity, with deep experience in eCommerce. The mix of agency, product, and teaching means Ley thinks about design as a system, not just how something looks, but how a team can keep producing good work consistently.

Ley holds a Bachelor's in Graphic Design (2022) and a Master's in Applied Fine Arts (2025), both from the University of Industrial Fine Arts (UAD).

What drives Ley is straightforward: “making things more beautiful and easier to use”. The work, as Ley sees it, is a path toward discovering new visuals while creating an experience that genuinely helps people.

Away from work, Ley can usually be found in a cafe, listening to rock, or making linocut prints by hand.

Ley's writing on the Glinteco blog covers UI craft, eCommerce platforms, and the practice of designing for products that need to convert. A few pieces worth reading:
